San Diego Food Bank to Host East County Emergency "Drive-Thru" Food & Toilet Paper Distribution for 1,000 Vehicles

at Grossmont Center in La Mesa at 9 a.m. on Friday, April 17

? The distribution is first come, first served. Rain or shine. One household food/product package per vehicle.

? The Food Bank will have enough food and supplies to serve 1,000 vehicles (representing 1,000 households) starting at 9 a.m.

? Each vehicle will receive 40 pounds of food, toilet paper, paper towels, and baby wipes.


NOTE: For health and safety reasons, no one will be allowed to "walk up" or receive food on foot. Individuals and families who are not able to arrive by car can visit a scheduled distribution near their home. THE FOOD BANK HAS APPROXIMATELY 100 SCHEDULED FOOD DISTRIBUTIONS EVERY WEEK. Attendees must verbally "self-certify" that they meet income guidelines to receive food assistance (chart below).
